Detox, Bring it On

McDonald’s, Burger King, and Kentucky Fried Chicken are just some of our favorite fast food chain restaurants. Hamburger, French fries, and extra large are also examples of mostly purchased served in the restaurants I mentioned. We prefer to eat foods from these food chains because aside from the fast service and ready-made products, we get satisfaction after eating. However, we are also aware that these processed foods contain preservatives that are toxic to our body. This is where Detoxification or “detox” enters. Here’s exactly what you need to know about detox.

Once your body is full of toxins, it will start to show signs like level, gets easily tired, unable to think properly, and can’t catch up with your friends because of body ache. And medically speaking, if these toxins build up, source of diseases will follow which ranges from to worst…cancer.

In order to avoid this, detoxify your body and start a healthier way of living. To detoxify is to cleanse your body from the toxic wastes you have taken unconsciously. A popular way to detoxify is to have a diet. Start your diet by eating more natural foods like fruits and vegetables as well as increasing your fluid intake particularly beverages extracted from juices of herbal plants or crops. Exercising regularly is also a way to detoxify toxins from your body and avoid canned goods, foods with preservatives and processed junk foods.

Fruits and vegetables are rich in fibers which help in having regular . This is crucial to your body since it helps lessen the possibility of further toxins absorbed by the body. And don’t you know that a positive mind helps in the process of detoxification? All you need to do is to be optimistic, avoid negative thoughts, carry a positive attitude, and always smile.

A busy lifestyle is not a hindrance to be aware of what your body needs.  Detoxification is a perfect way for you to pamper your body once in a while and cleanse your internal systems to remove the build up of toxins. This will guarantee you a healthy lifestyle amidst busy schedule.

Frykat…. what planet do you live on??? Are you that daft that you're confused as to why ENTERTAINMANT WEEKLY would write about a human interest story relating to Cyrus and Carell, under a popular culture article? Jesus dude, this ain't CNN.

Or are you one of those people that think their neck of the woods is immune to popular culture? Not sure what planet that is, let me know when you get back.

As a nurse, I have to tell you, there is no merit in having a bowel movement after every meal. It makes no sense. That food is fuel. That fuel is used to keep your body running. If you expel it all after you eat, you have nothing. Nothing.

One bowel movement every day or two is normal. Our bodies are designed to make use of what we eat for as long as possible.

Colonics have a tendency to dehydrate and deplete nutrient uptake. If only I could tell you about some of my patients and what they've been through…you'd not only think twice about a cleansing ritual, you'd never want to go down the laxative/enema aisle in a store again.

I think the ad is targeting those who drink soft drinks excessively, rather than those who only drink soft drinks occasionally. Maybe previous ads tried to encourage people to consume such drinks in moderation, but it wasn't very effective? Hence they had to use stronger ways to communicate how such sugary drinks are detrimental to one's health.
Anyway you don't consume soft drinks that often, so it's okay! :)

    Sarnia?

    SARNIA?

    That toxic sewer hole!?

Isn't Sarnia the subject of a class action law suit due to decades of toxic pollution from the petrochemical industry?

I watched a documentary a while back detailing this. Apparently, the toxins released there are into the thousands of tonnes per year per toxin. Incredibly, releasing these into the environment is perfectly fine so long as the volumes and dates of release are documented! The pollution is so bad, even before the authors of the documentary arrived to do their research, they predicted what they would find. They were right: The number of male children being born had dropped to less then half that of an unexposed population. The First Peoples there are, for all intents and purposes, toxic waste! NO BIGOTRY INTENDED!

Sarnia is now arguably, the most polluted jurisdiction in all of Canada and amongst the most toxically polluted places on earth!

Curious… Even in the mountain of miss-information put out by wind proponents, I don’t remember reading anything that said; “wind turbines reduce and/or eliminate toxic wastes”…

I guess we can all expect an update to this effect shortly!

When it comes to the media I can always look there for a good shock. There is always some sort of competition going on. Like, Coke v. Pepsi, Verizon v. AT&T, and now McDonalds v. Burger King . Everyone seems to have a competitor that they are going after. I sort of admire Burger King for being so brave as to take on McDonalds like that but I have a feeling that it might come back to haunt them. McDonalds is such a big cooperation that I really do not think that this commercial will cause them to lose any revenue.

How awesome is that. Emma and I are in New York, and it is an experience as well. We drove and the people here don't know how to drive in my opinion. I am sure the customs there are very different, yet make sense once you are living them. Is the Pepsi and soft drinks like that expensive? When I went to London and Ireland several years ago we paid close to 5.00 a soda. Well, Enjoy it all…You're blessed! Take Care and Stay Safe!!

    Hi dvnutrix

    Thanks for the response.

I think where I was going was: if it's hard to come up with a good diet from non-processed foods, and given that I don't mind a bit of processing, is it possible to generate a line of processed foods that tick all the 'food science' boxes?

I've tried calorie counting – for less-processed foods this means a lot of weighing and measuring. For more-processed foods there's still a bunch of that because the buggers go out of their way to make it hard, and you're still probably eating way too much salt or whatever.

It just seems like this could all be sorted.

    AMEN!

Couldn't agree more. At the moment I depend more on external systems like Twitter, Google Reader, LinkedIn, Facebook and my personal e-mail to do my job, than the internal systems provided by my employer.

The internal systems are old (Outlook Web Access 2003), slow, rigid security (two phase authentication) and a general pain in the but. I keep all my e-mail lists and software development related discussions on my own e-mail address, hosted by Google Apps, which gives me a GREAT online e-mail client accessible when ever I work out at a client.

To do my job as a developer I depend on my network, either through Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook or Messenger, and non of these identities are controlled or supported by the enterprise.
